Our versatile range of rigs are capable of a wide range of in situ testing and soil sampling. We have a team of operators and technical staff with a wealth of experience in site investigations and in situ testing. Marco has more than 30 years experience in geotechnical engineering and site investigation on a wide range of projects in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. With his extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, he brings an understanding of the customer’s requirements for site investigation projects. Since starting with Ground Investigation in 2011, Tony has become an experienced and competent operator of all our rigs and testing equipment.
Simon has a wide range of experience in a variety of industries, including banking, mining and landscaping. He is a fully trained and competent CPT and SDMT operator, as well as experienced in our borehole sampling and dynamic probing rigs. The knowledge gained from his previous business experience has been utilised in the development of our own quality management systems. Brendon is a highly experienced CPT operator with 15 years experience with land based, nearshore and offshore CPT operation and management, along with various forms of sampling.
Peter studied Chemistry at Queensland University and Geology at the University of Canterbury and has been involved in data acquisition for the physical sciences for the best part of twenty years. Peter leads our geotechnical drilling team in Christchurch with over 6 years experience operating over 300 CPTs since the beginning of the Canterbury earthquake sequence. Javan has extensive background knowledge and experience in the drilling industry. He has worked on on shore and off shore projects throughout Europe, Central and South America, and North Africa.
He joined Ground Investigation in 2017, bringing a high level of commitment to quality in situ testing. Ben has a Double Major in Geology and Geography from the University of Canterbury. He has been working with Ground Investigation since 2013 and has experience with CPT, SDMT and DPSH testing in Christchurch. Previous to starting with Ground Investigation in 2016, Jayden had worked as a GPR operator analyst, with further experience in the use and development of analytical software.
He has become a competent operator of CPT and SDMT equipment and assists in the maintenance, repair and development of our electronic equipment. Previous to joining Ground Investigation in 2017, Ryan had 3 years experience working with Gardline Geosciences in the UK as an Engineering Geologist. At Ground Investigation, he has been trained in the operation of CPT and SDMT testing. Ryan currently works in our Technical Department undertaking data processing, data management and preparation of CPT reports, as well as the development of interpretation and ground modelling software
