Waterhole has been Teaching and Coaching swimming since 1976 and we have been operating in our current complex since 1985. Being a stand alone commercial business, but competing with other similar operations in our area, which have been subsidised by having the use of local body or school pools. By Waterhole's commitment to excellence, the creative talent and expertise of Judith Wright who has become a leader in New Zealand in pool management of privately owned complexes and learn to swim programmes, the programme at Waterhole has always lead the way in New Zealand. Once your kid has mastered the art of kicking around on their own with the teaching aids, then with the caregiver still in the water they progress to Angelfish. Swim for Fitness is a progression of our Beginner program and starts at smooth five, we will continue to thrive your swimming skills along with swimming more distance. Seahorse is an accelerant class, each pupil will be expected to trail the teacher’s instruction so the swimming skill can be progressed through to right stroking and back kick, jumping in to the water rolling over onto the back and kicking on their back to the side. On completion of this slick your child will be capable to comfortably swim 12m of both Freestyle and Backstroke.
The caregiver may if they wish choose to continue with the pupil in this group until the child turns 3 years impaired and at this stage the child would move to Penguins in our Preschool programmed, without the caregiver in the water. Must be able to trail company policy and programs and be qualified to construct relationships with our clients and staff as this is what makes a triumphant team member. In the Advanced Program your kid will learn new skills and drills to help strengthen their Freestyle and Backstroke, they will also begin to be introduced firstly to Breaststroke Kick and then moving on to learn Breaststroke and Butterfly. In this level children are swimming without flotation aids and are busy on their kicking and stroking.
In these levels you will be swimming between 2300m and 3500m in your training session, with more stroke development and technique. Teaching and coaching all ages and levels of swimmers Babies, Preschool, Schoolage, Adults and Fitness training with competitive and non competitive swimmers. Each kid will keep being assessed and if the goals of the class are met will retain being progressed until they turn 5 years old at which time they will then join our Advanced Program. Once you have achieved Glossy 7 of the Waterhole Mature program, and are looking at taking part in either.
Skills progressed in Otters are Basic Kicking and Stroking skills associated with swimming. Lessons for Preschool groups begin from as insignificant as 14 per lesson per child, with a ratio of 1 teacher to 4 children. Once your child has mastered these drills and is capable to swim 12m Freestyle with right breathing using an armband and is also qualified to Back kick unaided for 12m then your child will progress to either Sprats 5 6year colds or Swordfish 7years or older. In the Advanced Program, your child will continue to work on fitness and technique to aid them become a healthy rounded homey swimmer
