TIC Turf Irrigation Contractors Ltd was established in 1995 by the current Directors Geoff and Belinda Andrew, to provide an irrigation installation service to the sports turf industry. TIC rapidly expanded from its initial undertaking to also encompass golf course and sports turf construction and bulk haulage of sports turf aggregates. In 2004, in response to growth and increasing demand on services, the company was restructured into TIC Golf and Sports Group Ltd, which was comprised of 3 companies TIC Projects Ltd, TIC Contracting Ltd and TIC Haulage Ltd. In 2007 Geoff and Belinda set up head office in the South Island enabling them to focus on golf construction throughout New Zealand.
Then in 2010, the General Manager in Auckland took over the ownership of TIC Contracting Ltd and TIC Haulage, allowing Geoff and Belinda to concentrate on large scale Golf construction projects throughout NZ and golf upgrades and. TIC Projects have now started on re construction works based on a masterplan the club has had produced for further development of the course. Harewood Golf Course employed the services of TIC Projects to reconstruct and upgrade the 18 hole Woodlands course built after the 2nd world war to accommodate the extention of the east west runway at Christchurch airport. Supply and Installation of a full Irrigation System to upper and lower fields, with further ongoing seeding, fertilisation and airation treatments to ensure healthly growth on a well used school field. Over the years TIC Projects have been fortunate to be asked to construct a number of exclusive golf facilities on private properties. TIC visited over a two year period to add additional specialised drainage to high traffic areas around greens, tees and fairways.
