What you should know about GLEN EDEN PRIMARY SCHOOL
Enrichment programmed The school runs various programmed to extend students. We are looking forward to an exciting year at Glen Eden Primary as we learn about and embed our new values decided on by our community final year. Do you need Oscar protection for your kid or children? It is the parent’s responsibility to enroll their kid children in our service. Glen Eden Primary School makes learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for our tamariki.
M Fri vowels are much the equivalent as many other languages except English! 2017 looks to be another exciting year at Glen Eden Primary with kaiako and tamariki already having lots of laughter getting to know their fresh classes. I have been teaching for a number of years but this is my first year teaching at Glen Eden Primary. 8 main cultural groups were first identified and Year 6 students chose the group they wished to represent. At Glen Eden Primary School we encourage personal responsibility, clever problem solving and participation in decision making by encouraging emerging leadership at all levels, including parents, Board of Trustees, staff and children.
The school is an active member of the Kelston Community of Learning COL, a group of seven local schools. A BIG welcome to those families who are fresh to our aura this year and of course a HUGE welcome back to children and whanau returning for another busy year occupied with fun and learning at our school. Our newsletter is very informative and lets parents know what is happening at school. Glen Eden Primary is a vibrant school where achievement is rewarded and both staff and students are encouraged to keep a healthy work life balance.
The school’s achievement information shows that approximately two thirds of all students accomplish well in reading and writing. Education Exterior the Classroom Team and class trips play a very crucial portion in the school programmed. More importantly we want our tamariki living our values in all that they do both at school and at home. Garden to Table GATT is a successful garden and kitchen programmed run in schools throughout the country.
Tonga Gladys and her group chose their design because it represents the woman who designed this Kupesi, her name was Hulita Tuifua. Our next design is our national flower the Heilala which represents the beautifulness of our body. Children are involved in the learning process and are aware of following steps to progress their learning. Glen Eden Primary School makes learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for our tamariki.
This year I will be teaching in Room 9 and I am very turbulent to get to know your children and to be a part of the Takahe team. Stationery is available at the office earlier and behind school throughout the year. In 2015, the school proudly celebrated 100 years of education service to Glen Eden
